How to clean a  Nerdy DIVA Candle Jar

For the candle containers with etched designs or stickers, use the following guide to clean the jar for keepsake.

*Note: Stickers on Jars may rub off using the methods below*

Remove remaining Candle Wax with Hot Water

Put your candle on a towel on a flat surface. Pour in enough hot water to fill the container leaving 1/2 to a inch of space from the top. Boiling water will melt the candle wax, causing it to lift to top of the jar. Let cool completely before removing the wax. Get a strainer and pour out the water and what remains is the candle wax bits and pieces. Toss the wax in the trash. DO NOT pour in the sink. Wax clogs drains.

Use a heat gun or hair dyer

Both a heat gun and hair dryer produces enough heat to melt the wax. With a oven mitt, use heat gun/hair dryer to heat the sides of the candle jar to loosen or melt the wax. Once it loose enough or melted, wax can be poured into trash. Wipe the jar with a paper towel while still warm to clean sides of jar. Careful, jar will be hot when heated
